President of National Assembly Wishes Cambodians Well for Pchum Ben

Phnom Penh: President of the National Assembly, Heng Samrin, has wished Cambodians a safe and blessed Pchum Ben.

Wednesday 6 October is known as Pchum Thom, the last day of the 15-day festival of Kan Ben. Heng Samrin says, “This Pchum Ben festival is a traditional festival of Cambodia, it is a time when people are happy to meet with family, do charity, save merit and meet relatives, friends, relatives at home, at pagodas and other places. Please, all compatriots, take care to take good care of everyone's health, especially to protect them from Covid-19, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health.”

He says, “May your near and far travel be safe and secure, everyone must obey traffic laws, understand each other and be tolerant of each other.”

He ended his message by extending his blessing to all Cambodians and wished everyone the four blessings of the Buddha: old age, beauty, happiness and strength.
